Garlic Bread
INGREDIENTS
1 Stick Butter
2 Tbsp Dried Parsley
1 Tbsp Garlic Salt
Some baguette-shaped loaf of Bread
METHOD
1. Preheat the oven to 425F.
2. Melt the Butter, Parsley and Garlic Salt in a small pan.
3. Cut the bread down the middle into a top half and a bottom half (as if you were making a long sandwich).
4. Cut the bread halves into manageable pieces that will fit on a cookie sheet. (in half, thirds, 2 inch slices, whatever you like).
5. Line a cookie sheet with foil and arrange the bread pieces on it with the curt side up, crust side down.
6. Brush the melted butter mixture on the cut side of the bread.
7. Bake until browned and crusty, about 10 minutes.
VARIATION
If adding Parmesan, continue the above recipe like so:
8. Remove the bread from the oven.
9. Raise the oven rack to the highest point.
10. Sprinkle the grated parmesan on the bread.
11. Set the oven to broil.
12. Place the bread in the oven and watch closely.
13. Remove when the cheese is melted and crusty.
