Grant's Marinara

Grant's Marinara - Grant Wilson Original

1 28 oz Can of Diced Tomatoes
1 28 oz Can of Crushed Tomatoes
7 Cloves of Garlic, chopped fine or pressed
1/4 Cup Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 Cup Fresh Basil, torn with your hands
1 tsp Red Pepper Flakes (optional)
5 Bay Leaves
Salt and Pepper to taste

1. Heat a large saucepan over medium heat.
2. When the pan is warm add Olive Oil.
3. When Olive Oil is aromatic, add garlic and cook until golden. Add a Tbsp of water if it is cooking too fast.
4. Add Diced and Crushed Tomatoes, Basil, Bay Leaves, and Red Pepper Flakes.
5. Simmer for no less than 5 minutes and no more than 10 minutes.
6. Salt and Pepper to taste.

Serve with basically any pasta, or use in Lasagna.
