Green Beans and Bacon

Green Beans and Bacon - Grant Wilson Original

INGREDIENTS
2-3lbs Fresh Green Beans, ends snapped off and snapped into 1 1/2" to 2" pieces
1 10oz pkg of Smoked Bacon (or more, if desired) (NOT MAPLE BACON)
1 tsp Dried Thyme
4-6 Large Beef Bouillon Cubes
Water


METHOD
1. Slice the Bacon in lardons about 1/4" wide.
2. Slowly fry the lardons in a non-stick pan on medium/medium low heat.
3. When Bacon is done, set aside.
4. Place the Green Beans, Dried Thyme, and Bouillon Cubes in a large pot.
5. Cover with water until it is about 1" over the Green Beans.
6. Add the Bacon to the pot.
7. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer until Green Beans are Tender.


VARIATION
- You can add Onions to this as well. Just dice it large and fry it with the Bacon.
