Pot Stickers

Pot Stickers - Reanna Wilson & Honeysuckle

INGREDIENTS

Pot Stickers
2 Cups Cabbage, minced (Green Cabbage or Napa Cabbage)
3 Cloves Garlic, minced or pressed
1 tsp Ginger, grated
2 Scallions, minced
1lb Ground Pork
1 Tbsp Salt
2 tsp Granulated Sugar
1 tsp Sesame Oil
Freshly Ground Black Pepper
2 pkgs Potsticker Wrappers

Vegetable Oil for frying

Sauce
2 Tbsp Soy Sauce
1 Tbsp Rice Vinegar
1 tsp Sesame Oil
1 tsp Chili Garlic Sauce


METHOD
1. In a large mixing bowl, add all ingredients except the Potsticker Wrappers. Mix thoroughly with your hands until it becomes pasty.
2. Take a wrapper and add 2 tsp of filling.
3. With your finger, wet two adjacent edges of the wrapper.
4. Fold the wrapper corner to corner to make a triangle shape.
5. Wet one of two corners that ends the fold and wrap them around the back of the potsticker and join them together. OR world them in whatever way you like.
6. Repeat until all the meat filling is gone.
7. Add 2 Tbsp of Vegetable Oil to a large non-stick pan on medium-high heat.
8. When oil is hot, add as many pot stickers as you can without crowding them.
9. Immediately add 1/2 cup water and cover for 3 minutes. (Be careful of steam).
10. After 3 minutes, remove the lid and continue to cook the pot stickers for another 3 minutes or until the bottom is golden brown.

Sauce
1. Mix all ingredients together thoroughly.
