Ranch Dressing
INGREDIENTS
1 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
3/4 cup buttermilk
3 tsp onion powder
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp sugar
1/2 tsp msg (or an additional 1.2 tsp salt)
1/2 tsp salt
2 tsp white vinegar
1/4 cup chopped parsley
1/4 cup chopped dill
1/4 cup chopped chives
METHOD
1. Place the Vinegar in a small bowl along with the Salt and Sugar. Stir to dissolve. Set aside.
2. Add mayonnaise and sour cream to a medium sized mixing bowl. Whisk together.
3. While continuing to whisk, add the buttermilk.
4. Add the Onion Powder and Garlic Powder whisk to combine.
5. Add the Vinegar mixture and continue to whisk./
6. Add in the fresh chopped Parsley, Dill, and Chives. Whisk to combine.
7. Cover and refrigerate for 4 hours to overnight.
8. Season with salt and black pepper to taste. This dressing will keep nicely in the refrigerator for up to a week.
VARIATION
For a more Mexican flavor:
- Replace Lemon with Lime
- Replace Parsley with Cilantro
- Replace Chives with Serrano
- Add 1/4 tsp Cumin
