Steak & Noodles - Grant Wilson Original
INGREDIENTS
1lb Steak
2 Tbsp Butter
2 Cloves Garlic, minced or pressed
1 8oz pkg White Mushrooms
1 15oz Can Cream of Mushroom Soup, reserve can to measure water
1 Soup Can of Water
2 Large Beef Bouillon Cubes
1/2 Cup Burgundy
1/4 Cup Half & Half or Light Cream
2 tsp dried Parsley
16oz Egg Noodles
METHOD
Grill the Steak
1. Pound the Steak to a uniform thickness of 1/2".
2. Season with Borsari Salt.
3. Grill the Steak on the Grill until medium rare.
4. When Steak is done, let it rest for 5 minutes.
5. Cut the Steak in to 1/2" pieces.
Make the Sauce
1. Melt Butter in a large shallow saucepan on medium heat.
2. Sauté the Garlic until aromatic.
3. Add the Mushrooms and Sauté until brown.
4. Add wine and simmer for 4 minutes.
5. Add Soup, Water, Bouillon, and Parsley. Mix well.
6. Once bubbling, reduce heat and simmer.
7. Stir in the Cream.
8. Add the Steak chunks and simmer for 2-5 minutes.
9. When the Egg Noodles are ready, add them to the sauce.
VARIATION
You can skip grilling the Steak. Just cut it up into 1/2 chunks and add to pan after the Garlic become aromatic in step 2. Once the steak is browned but not finished cooking, proceeded with step 3.
